Japanese Craved name seal, "INKAN" "HANKO"

HELLO !!

Japan is sooo cold Today.
It's SNOW in Tokyo.

Today, I introduce Japanese craved name seal, "INKAN" or "HANKO".

One sticks the carved surface into a red ink pad, then presses it on paper.
It is usually made of wood but ivory and crystal are also used.

In Japan, we use INKAN when we sign the documents.
Family name is engraved to the INKAN.

How to use it correctly ??

You should put the INKAN to tilt to the left.
This can express modest heart of user. ↑↑↑

If you want to make INKAN in KANJI,
use a phonetic equivalent !! Like this↓↓↓

e.g.

English                 Kanji              Katakana

Michael

Andrew

Emily

Sophia

If you know about INKAN more, please watch this video !!
