10000yen is the highest value money in Japan. Statue of hōō (phoenix) from Byōdō-in Temple and Yukichi Fukuzawa are printed. He was a Japanese author, Enlightenment writer, teacher, translator, entrepreneur and journalist who founded Keio University.
And, this is not normal, but we have 2000yen note!!
The 2000 yen note was first issued on July 19, 2000 to commemorate the 26th G8 summit in Okinawa and the 2000 millennium year as well.
A point that differs from others countries money is that Japanese money has many coins. Another countries have 1$ or 5$ bills (paper money) or less than these bills. However, Japanese paper money is from 1000yen (about 10$).
